Among most commonly consumed beverages, Coffee is one. Many are being advised to avoid coffee due to its effects like heartburn, acidic reactions, recurring stomach problems and other gastrointestinal problems. As per the observations of Joseph schemer, M.D., a gastrointestinal specialist and former co-chief of gastroenterology (Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn of New York), coffee drinkers are the major victims of intense stomach ailments. “During the coffee-roasting process, natural acids form which can lead to heart burn, indigestion and upset the stomach”. He had also explained that “Reducing these irritants allows coffee drinkers with sensitive stomachs to enjoy coffee”.

Coffee enthusiasts with sensitive stomach have started to shift to Gentle Java – a new coffee roasting methodology where the process is done through steam process, which is in vogue since last 6 decades. It has also been evident that this process avoids nearly 70% of the impurities and irritants and also entices with the natural aroma of coffee. This would suit those who have a sensitive stomach.
